On November 26, 2020, Dr. Robert Strang, Chief Medical Officer for the Province of Nova Scotia, put temporary restrictive measures in place for areas of Halifax County to help stop the increase in community spread infections of COVID-19.

Included in these measures is the requirement to wear a non-medical mask in common areas of multi-unit residential buildings (like apartment buildings and condos).

Also included in the temporary restrictions is lowering the gathering limit within a household is no more than 5 visitors at a time.

Please make visitors aware of these restrictions when coming to see you in the building. Signs will be up shortly in commons areas.

All the temporary restrictions can be found on the Nova Scotia COVID-19 website. If you think you’ve been exposed, please follow the advice on the Nova Scotia government website.

These restrictions are currently in place until December 9, 2020.

More information on how these new temporary restrictions affect our home can be found in the memo dated November 25 from our property management company, NovaCorp Properties, which is posted on the bulletin board in the garage. If you have any questions, please contact our superintendent, Donald d’Entremont.

For more information on the temporary restrictions, what to do if you are welling unwell and to stay up to date on potential COVID-19 exposures from Public Health, please visit novascotia.ca/coronavirus.

Working together we can keep our home and each other safe.
