Information for Residents
Recycling and garbage room
Let’s all help keep our building and Nova Scotia clean and green!
The recycling and garbage room is next to the overhead garage door.
Wet garbage (compost) goes in the green bins.
Recyclables go in the blue bins.
All other garbage should be bagged, tied, and put in the garbage bins.
Wondering what goes where? Check this page.
Parking and storage
Owners each have one underground parking spot. If you need an additional space outdoors, or are a tenant and need a parking space, please contact the superintendent for availability and rates.
Space is limited in the parking garage, so please keep all personal belongings in your storage locker. Do you have a bike or small cart for transporting groceries back and forth to your unit? You can keep those outside the locker so long as they do not interfere with access to adjacent parking and storage spaces.
Moving and large deliveries
If you are moving in or out, or are expecting a large delivery, please contact the superintendent, who will make sure:
- the elevator is temporarily equipped with pads to prevent damage
- other residents are aware of the temporary disruption
- all regulations are followed
Please note, moving and large deliveries are not permitted on Sundays or holidays.
Pets
Pets bring joy and many benefits to people’s lives, but they can also create noise and disturbance. Our pet policy aims to balance the rights of all residents to enjoy their home at Spinnaker Arms with the desires of those who wish to share their life with a pet.
All residents, whether they are owners or tenants, must receive prior written permission from the board to have a pet on the premises. If a tenant wants to have a pet, the owner of the unit must endorse the application. Download the Pet Registration form using the button below.
Basic pet rules are located in the handbook, page 25.
Fire Safety Plan
Do you know what to do in case of a fire? We suggest you review the Fire Safety Plan, which you can find here.
Do you have a concern or complaint?
Is another resident making too much noise? Is a neighbour’s pet causing a problem? Is someone in your parking spot? Is there an issue in your unit likely to cause a problem for a neighbour or the common area? For all concerns, contact the superintendent.
For more information on dispute resolution, check the handbook page 30.
If you have any other questions or concerns, contact the superintendent.
Questions? Suggestions?
Do you have an idea that would make life at Spinnaker Arms even more enjoyable? We’d like to hear it. Please contact the superintendent.
